What is Mujib Borso?

Mujib borso comes from the person of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.Mujib Borsho is  the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.The birth date of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is 17 March 1920  in the village of Tungipara in Gopalganj . The Government of Bangladesh announced to celebrate the centenary of the birth of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Time of Mujib Borso

The Mujib Borso is a period from March 16, 2020 to March 17, 2021. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina founded the year-long program on March 17,2020.17 March is the birthday of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. UNESCO also declared  the celebration of Mujib Year together with the Government of Bangladesh. This announcement of UNESCO clears the door for the celebration of Mujib Year in the whole world.The original period of Mujib Borso is March 17, 2020 to March 26, 2021.The government of Bangladesh elaborates  the time of Mujib Borso from 17 March 2020 to 16 December 2021.But the next time the government of Bangladesh also elaborates the time of Mujib Borso till 31 March, 2022.The reason of elaborate the time is Covid-19 diseases.

Celebration of Mujib Borso 

By celebrating Mujib borso we tribute Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.In this occasion people participate various kinds of functions.Such as,folk fair,award giving ceremony of online quiz competition, completing printing of several publications, holding official works of the national implementation committee, handing over of office equipment, papers, publications to concerned authorities, completing financial activities, closing bank accounts, auditing and others.
